Dax von Derding is a very handsome and very sweet 3-4 year old German Shepherd. Dax is such an angel on leash, people will stop to ask you for training tips. He is lower energy and incredibly sweet and patient - he is satisfied with a nice stroll around the block or a longer hike in the hills. He does love to sniff out new spots and walks great alongside another dog. Dax daydreams a little on his walk, but only because he wants to know what his forever family will be like and when they are coming to get him. He has a wonderfully calm, relaxed personality, and will do great in any home. Dax is wonderful with other dogs; he met another big male dog (Shady von Shier) on the rescue van and the two became quick friends. They now share a kennel and while the bro-mance is blossoming, they can be adopted together or separately. Sweet Dax does well in his playgroups, sometimes meeting new dogs a little stiffly. He prefers the company of submissive dogs, but is tolerant of playful dogs even though he prefers not to roughhouse. Waiting for the perfect dog to come along?
